Junsui, the south east Asian speciality restaurant of BAA offers a huge array of breakfast spread comprising of cuisines from china, Japan, Korea, Malaysia to name a few. Decor is chic, staff wonderful, sea view and a wonderful bar lounge.
Only slight negative has been coffee served in a cup with hairline crack which ideally should be a strict no no. Maybe the dept responsible for checking cutlery had a lax day

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Junsui during our stay in Dubai in December 2017. Service was excellent. All the staff were very professional, attentive and friendly. The manager Ms. Silvia Urbanova personally greeted us and guided us along the way. The restaurant was notified about our son's food requirements and they accommodated all our requests and made our dining experience and anniversary celebration truly unforgettable. The food was excellent, the variety of cousins and dishes was amazing. We were seated near the window and the view of the sea looked amazing. We have a wonderful memories.

The service was excellent. All the staff were very courteous, professional and friendly. The manager Ms. Silvia Urbanova guided us in and even enquired if we had any allergies at the very beginning. The waitress Ms Benna attending to our table looked into all our requirements in a really professional manner. Mr. Anil was also very helpful and explained to us the specialties and intricacies of the restaurant and the Hotel.
The food was excellent. We were seated near the window and the view of the sea / lagoon, the walkway and greenery looked attractive from the mezzanine level. The food was very tasty and the wide array of dishes certainly gave the guests a lot to choose from. The live stations and the willingness of the staff to cook almost any dish was a welcome attitude.
I BELIEVE MAYBE ONE SINGLE HALL FOR DINING MAY INCREASE THE OVERALL AMBIENCE RATHER THAN THE PARTITIONS GIVEN AT THE MOMENT. ONE LARGE AND SINGLE DINING HALL WOULD CERTAINLY LIFT THE OVERALL APPEARANCE OF THE DINING HALL.
I may be wrong here but the menu/ variety in the dessert was not of an acceptable standard for certainly the most expensive Hotel in the region ( and Junsui Restaurant was the most expensive Buffet in Burj Al Arab). Of course there was a combination of Indonesian sweets and gels to be mixed together and consumed. Other than that the cakes and associated sweets were not adequate.

I took my friend to this restaurant and cashed in 10,000 Sirius points. Sirius is a Jumeirah rewards program and I’ve been very loyal, hence the amount of points. After this I won’t be anymore!
The assistant manager Anil, didn’t understand the Sirius program or the vouchers I had been sent by Sirius ,which I showed him several times and Sirius themselves had even made the booking for me.
Anil basically did the following:
Told me my Sirius voucher weren’t valid.
Made me leave my table and stand at the front desk for 20 mins while he used my phone to speak directly to Sirius. The food went cold at this time an my friend was left alone.
He then took me back to my table and offered nothing.
The other staff offered us the wine but Anil came over and stopped them and started complaining that it couldn’t be done because we didn’t order the house wine(we had). Basically he made a huge scene and I was even more embarrassed.
He then ruined the birthday surprise I had organized for my friend but saying that HE had organized a cake!
At this point (it’s been an hour of drama by now) he offered to waiver the cost of our bottle of house wine and the 2 cups of tea we had. But the evening had been effectively ruined.
I emailed Sirius re all this and they were very sweet.
However the actual manger of Junsui then emailed me and laid the blame on me!
Apparently I didn’t show the vouchers which is an out and out lie! Secondly apparently the assistant manager Anil was only being thorough. So making guests feel cheap and uncomfortable is just being thorough in the Burj Al Arab?!! OMG!
I was left feeling even worse. This restaurant is managed terribly! And they are happy to blame their customers for their mistakes
Trust me if the manager responds to this and blames me it will be more lies, and I will post their email to me for all to see what a liar they are!!!
I am in absolutely shock and the treatment I’ve received for a so called 7* hotel.
