Excited to try a new restaurant especially after reading great reviews. But sadly we weren't that impressed. Small things over and over that in the end made a fairly negative impact. - we arrived and said 'good evening' to the man behind the counter and after the 2nd 'good evening' we got a reply 'wait a moment'. - at the table we asking for things twice. Such as lemons for water and extra leaves for the starter as it was only served with 3 when we were 2 people. - small thing, our candle was out when we arrived and no one changed until we eventually asked. - just didn't feel the warmth and welcome we had expected. Nothing special. - food on the other hand was very tasty. Spring roles and dim sums. Green chicken curry and prawn w basil leaves. And the 'amuse bouche' was very nice and creative. We have Pai Thai as our true favourite and I'd say Mekong has a bit to work on to get up to that level. Thank you.

It is not as amazing as that we heard about it. Little bit disappointed. Food is avarage not perfect. Ambiance is ok. Nice place for a regular dinner.

One of the staff was impolite, poor English, slow at service, rude and made a major mistake with serving the spicy food to the wrong person on the table. I would never go to your restaurant again, why should I pay money for such a service and treatment!

Excellent dinner at Mekong. Delicious, varied menu. Just the right amount of chilli spice tailored to each of our party's request! In my view the best Asian restaurant in Dubai.

Nice atmosphere but had to get food reheated. Would recommend serving food on hot plates as well. Staff friendly and attentive but have had better Thai food elsewhere

Felt like we were sitting in the kind of area where a hotel would serve breakfast, not a very intimate space, noisy with children. Hated my main of deep fried sea bass and for the prices being charged think this place needs a rethink. Wouldn't go back despite the staff trying very hard......

Great setting, friendly staff. The menu is a little short of items, it would have been nice to see more options. Food is ok, portions are a little small.
