Great potential as the venue is lovely for good weather, and the menu very imaginative. However, the pizza was amateurish and poor, and the eggs benedict below par. The staff were very nice but clearly still in training and there were a few mistakes. I will go back though as I believe that they will get it right and if they do this place will be awesome for all day breakfast!

I was looking forward to trying Eggspectation for the first time in Dubai as the last one I tried was in Montreal 12 years ago. My excitement died down when I was in the restaurant on May 10th . While I was working on my laptop while eating, the staff asked me almost every 5 minutes I was done. The first waiter tried getting my unfinished plate until I held the plate back and told him I wasn't finished. A couple of minutes after, the second waiter asked if I was done (my plate was still unfinished). Similar thing happened to the 3rd waiter and 4th waitress. I managed to ask "Are you trying to kick me out? Just say so." The restaurant had very very BAD service, and it was very rude of the staff to ask every few minutes if I was done (it was not closing time and there weren't a lot of customers). I do not recommend this restaurant due to the rude staff.

Having lived in Montreal and Eggspectation being my Sunday breakfast tradition, I did have quite high expectations for Eggspectation Dubai. The location is very nice, it has an amazing view overlooking the beach.
My first time there was on a Friday, the place was full. I had the Go Bananas smoothie, which was excellent, along with the S’mores French Toast. Besides the fact that they have the BEST french toast, add Nutella and marshmallows and you get heaven on a plate!
My second time there was on a weekday morning, and the place was also busy. The staff was very friendly and service was good. This time, I had the “Eggstravaganza” (my usual Montreal dish), which comes with french toast. They perfected it here. My friend, for the second time, ordered the “Eggs Florentine" and loved it. We just had to top it off with the S’mores French Toast. I will definitely be going back at least one more time before I leave, it certainly met my “eggspectations” and more! ☺
