About Chaya Kada

‘Chaya Kada’ which has an uncomplicated translation to Tea Shop in English, is a big dream coming true for us. Like any other child who grew up in the golden period of 80's & 90's, we feel fortunate to have connected with a plush Malayalee culture filled with movies, music and food. Chaya Kada of the 80's used to be the joint for Malayalees to dish out their love for movies and music. It was more than a tea stall, it was a culture.

For the first time in Qatar, we are trying to bring back the 80's style Chaya Kada experience for you in the most humble way as we can. Knowing very well your love for the 80's & 90's lifestyle, we have tried to recreate the ambience and aura for you at Chaya Kada.

This would be your hangout to debate if Mammukka’s Balram in "Avanazhi" was better than Lalettan’s Vincent Gomez in "Rajavinte Makan" over a generous treat of Kappa Botti or Kallummakaya or Kanji-Payaru or Thenga Choru with some hot Samovar Chai or Karak as supporting characters. Whatever be your choice, we have you covered :)

Hopefully, you all would agree that nothing matches the elegance of Clara in Thoovanathumbikal over a glass of Nannari Sharbath. We guarantee you a 80's throwback for the first time in Doha. Please do visit us when we open our doors this Eid. Your patronage is our blessing!
