Korean grub is widely available around Dubai as the ever booming cosmopolitan city is a gateway for a victuals experience and after a quick web search; and Shogun appeared to be the appropriate choice for a first time indulgence of a Korean fare. The Galbi Jeongsik, a traditional Korean Beef Short Ribs BBQ was well marinated along with the Bulgogi Jeongsik; a Korean Beef Sirloin BBQ. The succulence of the short ribs and sirloin was beyond what one expected as the lush marinade oozed into the meat, glistening away slowly and caramelizing on the BBQ situated in center of the table seated. The joy of cooking your own meat according to one’s preference is truly worth experiencing, fuss free. The meat was paired with various accompanying sauces from a sesame oil mix, to a chill flaked spice sauce to a gingery based mixture, kimchi and more. A drive down to old Dubai is truly worth the visit to experience the Korean cuisine in a lively atmosphere and for hands on Korean BBQ! A meal that’s worth multiple visits until one has conquered the Shogun menu page to page.

The Urban Picnic Brunch at 3in1 quirky concept is your upscale Dubai chic picnic brunch with an indoor and outdoor seating along with access to the swimming pool with the stunning backdrop of the Burj Khalifa. Freshly baked quiches, summer fruits and toasted nuts to name a few. Venture near the brick oven for a thin crust pizza hot out of the oven while main course orders are placed from the table seated. So grab that picnic basket and tray, do a walk-through and explore what the urban picnic has to offer, just as you would outdoors to pick that perfect spot.

Aroos Damascus Restaurant has laid its roots in Deira for many, many years with its current set up taken over all the allocated store spaces of the residential building offering a perfect balance of Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. A meal that turns out to be a feast of Arabic proportions, from a juicy charcoal grill chicken, to succulent lamb tikka relished with the smokiness of eggplants that makes up moutable and a bowl of fresh vegetable with a plate of pickles and olives enjoyed in an al fresco setting that offers a magnificent view of good old Deira.

I could taste the freshness with each bite and in that precise moment, it’s all I ever wanted. The concept is simple, they sell what they cook and if it pleases, we buy what they sell and in turn, put our culinary skills into full gear to master what Eataly plates up. The Bufala Pizza with its soft yet doughy crustiness sauced with a simplistic tomato base and the melted stringiness from the oozing buffalo mozzarella played games with my taste, games that I would participate in all day, everyday. A meal well worth savoring repeatedly! So make your way down to Eataly this instance and taste the freshness with every bite.
