On our recent trip to Dubai we stayed in Jumeirah. We had an amazing meal at The Turkish Village in Jumeirah on Beach Road situated close to the Jumeirah Grand Mosque. Our waiter Roy was delightful he explained the menu and answered all our questions. We were a party of 3 and ordered the mixed grill platter WOW so much food and very tasty. Over all we found it to be great Value the food was Beautiful with great service and great ambiance. We went casual and were seated with no booking. So if you’re in Jumeirah give the Turkish Village a go…

  • "Good food but somewhat let-down service"

    3 Reviewed 2014-01-04 17:15:11 By Jandregr

We visited the place with a rather large group and it apparently was a group too big to handle for them. Orders were forgotten, mixed-up, took long time, and all this with a real stressed-out manner of the staff. But the food was of good quality and tasted very delicious with traditional Turkish flavour and since we were not in a hurry the fuzzing with the service was easy to overcome. Overall, if you are really want some Turkish delights in Dubai, this is a good place to go. I will most probably will give it a second try (just my wife and me) when I am in Dubai next time.

  • "Tasty authentic menu, crowned with a meter-long kebab"

    4 Reviewed 2013-12-29 14:05:18 By Exonian25

Food The menu offers sufficient diversity of dishes without being overwhelming, and although there are no detailed descriptions of each dish, the photos present a good general idea, and the waiters are ready to answer questions and provide recommendations. The starters are excellent, and perfect for sharing, it is best to try a mixture of hot and cold meat and vegetable offerings, as well as yellow lentil soup, which is served with fresh lemon. All food is complimented by plentiful baskets of freshly-made variety of breads, so ordering hummus would be a wise start. Main courses are dominated by a variety of grilled marinated meats and kebabs, including a notable meter-long kebab, which took centre stage at our table and was thoroughly enjoyable. Succulent mixed grills were also favourites, although the lamb was rather tough. There are some vegetarian dishes on offer (though it would be best to just order some more of those tasty meatless starters instead!), and some fish including traditionally cooked salmon. Undoubtedly for pudding the choice is between quince or pumpkin desserts, both are lovely and provide a sumptuous end to a very filling, but thoroughly delectable dinner. Daring diners with a real taste for unusual and exotic beverages it is worth trying the fermented cold spicy carrot drink or its milder, non-spicy version. It is certainly very distinctive, and is either vehemently liked or detested (it would not be dissimilar to drinking gherkin pickling solution, or for those born in the Soviet Union - rassol). Service Prompt and non-intrusive, Turkish waiters offered helpful suggestions when quizzed on various dishes and brought the food promptly. Atmosphere Owing to pleasant outside temperatures in December most people were dining in the outdoor area, with indoor space being largely empty and unoccupied. Tables located outside, on the first floor, allowed for relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is also convenient car park next to the restaurant making it an easy-to reach location.

Very bad service. When my friend was refused entry because of what he was wearing, we saw people inside wearing the same thing. When we asked the manager about this, instead of apologising, he argued.
