"Lovely Indian food with a twist"Reviewed 2014-08-22 12:45:07 By MeemzK
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at signature. The ambience is really nice. The staff were well informed and explained the menu well. Loved the pani poori and the classy presentation. The kebabs were juicy and tender. The soups were delicious. My chickpeas cooked in a clay pot were delicious. The kunafa dessert was do beautifully presented and tasted good.

If you are looking for delicious Indian food with a western twist then this it great starters must try dishes are lamb picattas dum nariyali prawns galouti kebab but haleem was drab it was more shredded meat served to an invalid type.don't even try it someday perhaps I can teach the chef what an authentic haleem is or send him to taste in Hyderabad.its very dark and seating uncomfortable especially if you get the seats by the entrance moving waiters will keep disturbing you plus lack of hygiene when I found a hair on my table it somehow spoilt my appetite as I like a clean space while eating I drew their attention to it and they quickly cleared it it is a restaurant for special occasions if only they improve some dishes and ambience and lighting chef akshay will come personally to ask you how the food was a dinner for three wil cost you 600 aed haleem needs complete revamp but biryani is delicious overall good experience for a connoisseur of food but it's more again to please the Arabs and western expats when it comes to the flavors so always ask as per your taste if you would it like it like Indian style spicy or bland etc
"Great Experience"Reviewed 2014-07-13 03:04:33 By LizzyS123
We chose the interactive dining experience A group,of us had the pleasure of being cooked for by the chef . We had a large selection of starters and the chef explained the spices used . The main courses were also explained to us and how they cooked them Fantastic experience with wonderfully spiced food . The service was also excellent from the waiting on staff I think it's a shame that the Melia hotel is located in Bur Dubai as I'm sure the restaurants would be used so much more in a central location However it's worth making the effort as the food I'd great
"Ridiculously Expensive Indian Restaurant in Bur Dubai, Dubai."Reviewed 2014-06-20 06:24:55 By Pramod G
Guys, Just like to inform you that I have eaten at many many Fine Dining Indian restaurants including the one Rasoi, Manadarin Oriental in Geneva by Vineet Bhatia( which I believe is also a very expensive restaurant and not " value for money ") , but never ever I have found any Indian Restaurant so ridiculously expensive as this "Signature"restaurant in Melia, Bur Dubai Dubai. OMG.!!! Its simply unbelievably expensive. I would never ever recommend to eat here even if your Father in law is paying for it. Its just not worth it.

Has Sanjeev Kapoor stamped his Signature?
Dubai; “Sparks of brilliance” – so claimed celebrated Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor as he described his menu in a FooDiva interview last month With that top of mind, we waltzed, or should I say tangoedmore on that laterinto his latest Dubai restaurant, Signature at the boutiquey Melia hotel on a Friday evening just after 9pm only to find one other table occupied – luckily it’s an intimate 60-cover restaurant Escorted to our table hidden behind a sheen of organza curtains, we did feel rather specialbutFooDiva had been recognised[sigh]I guess, wig shopping is next on the agenda after all
After rearranging ourselves to accommodate over-exuberant air conditioning, our order of dirty vodka martinis turned up with ginnot a good start So off he trotted to remix The menu is a biggie, and true to Sanjeev’s words, “there may be elements which bring surprise, a smile, that’s what I call sparks of brilliance – otherwise we are copying So Signature is all about finding new things in the traditionallet’s step back and make it relevant for today’s needs” Primarily North Indian, but with many a twist We smiled at Sanjeev’s words of wisdom peppered throughout the menu Good to see most mains with a choice of two portion sizes Sadly FooDiva spotted the muchContinue On FooDiva
