"Nothing special"Reviewed 2014-08-23 16:07:06 By monkeybiz2006
Ordered won ton soup for starter, tasted just like my usual take away in UK, was very disappointed, Would not recommend. Walk further to the bottom of the mall and discover the food of different culture, just amazing and yummy
"Ding Dong #PingPong! Great Dim Sum At Even Better Prices"Reviewed 2014-08-01 00:21:14 By Ema L
I'm fortunate enough to dine out often at the high end restaurants in Dubai through my business and personally. However, sometimes my husband and I have what we call a "Ping Pong" craving. Why? Because Ping Pong consistently delivers excellent Dim Sum in a bubbly, bright environment at the Dubai Mall. Further, when we went during Ramadan we were particularly impressed with the flawless service, and piping hot, incredibly fresh Dim Sum. So if you're looking for great priced food, with excellent service and a view of the Dubai fountains during the cooler weather then I strongly recommend you give Ping Pong a go. Our particular favourite dishes are the Seafood dumpling, the Spicy Chicken dumpling, Crab and Prawn Dumpling and the Spicy Black Sesame Seed dumpling. We are also huge fans of the lemon chicken which is really tasty and a favourite of our young adults now over the age of 18. And finally, for Dubai residents there is a loyalty card which is really worth getting hold of. Getting free drinks or free parcels of loveliness makes our trip to the Dubai Mall that little bit more fun and special. I hope you all enjoy Ping Pong as much as we do. The staff will look after you well. Enjoy!
"Delicious food with a stunning view!"Reviewed 2014-07-17 08:06:53 By VLD78
We ate at this restaurant on our last night in Dubai. We wish we had found it sooner! We had the set menu which was a bargain and plenty to choose from even for a vegetarian. Staff were friendly and happily recommended dishes for us to try. You must sample their bubble tea - it's so refreshing! We were lucky to get a table outside so dined while watching the Dubai Fountains. We will definitely be back here when we are in Dubai again.

Ping Pong’s new dim sum menu
Dubai; I first discovered Ping Pong in London a number of years ago, and no FooDiva’s not talking table tennis, but the popular chain of dim sum joints where you’d happily queue outside in an icy cold clime for a lunchtime table inside The Dubai Mall restaurant which I’ve frequented since its opening, has just introduced some new menu additions, and as FooDiva loves savouring anything new, here are my impressions
Nibbles; pickled lotus root & black sesame sees, pickled red cabbage and turnip These little delights are the Chinese equivalent of Japan’s edamame; the pickled red cabbage and turnip in particular sliced like french fries are both sweet and sour; perfect for whetting the appetite
Steamed dumplings; lobster dumpling, Har Gau, seafood wonton with spicy sauce and coriander, prawn and chicken Shu Mai dumpling Now Ping Pong prides itself on ‘little steamed parcels of deliciousness’, and this section of the menu is their speciality The lobster dumpling scores top points for presentation; don’t they look like miniature doll’s purses? Calling out to the girlie girl in me I guess The seafood wonton was the most divinely delicious number; the addition of coriander is quite unusual for dim sum, but makes for such a robust…...
