  • "Iftaar at Mahec 2014"

Iftar at mahec is a disappointment. The entrance is hidden and approach is confusing.the pakoras samosa wrapped in sev and achari murgh tikka was good but biryani with scarcity of lamb was dry and haleem was tasteless and w/o garnish the malai tikka was bland and dal tadka was not even original and the waiters suffer from bad body odour, floor littered with tissues just ignored bad lighting and above all food is not even replaced in the buffet dishes if it is over not worth spending 140 per person for the hopeless food and in such low quantities speaks stinginess even though I am against food wastage but not refilliling finished items speaks poorly of the management of the hotel. It can get only4/10. Don't go there if you know your food and love to have a good time ambience and a perfect celebration. I would blame the manager for poor job done.

We were a group of 6 with 3 babies to celebrate birthday. The staff were kind enough to move us in family room. But the service was poor. It was the most awful malai kofta I have ever had. Even subzi milaoni and dal was bad. Will never go back. Very discouteous and unhelpful staff.

Had a fantastic meal here (01.06.14) - possibly the best Indian cuisine I have ever tasted! Superb freshly cooked food that was tailored specifically to our tastes - top choice of World wines and the staff were incredible! Highly recommended !

If you are looking for a perfect dining experience and don't wish to over-pay at the same time. You choose Mahec. If you are visiting Dubai and like Indian cuisine, you've got to try this place out. I cannot rate the starters, the main course because I obviously like them but here's the thing, if you don't keep space for dessert, your visit would be wasted. Awesome ambiance, well packaged Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner - true taste.

During my business travels I always try to go to an Indian restaurant. As I was staying in Le Meridien, I opted to try Mahec which is on the same property, a short walk from my room. The restaurant was less crowded than some other restaurants on the property which did make me a bit hesitant to get a table. However I was not disappointed with the food. Very nice menu, food was brought at nice pace with sufficient time between appetizer and main course. The lamb masala was one of the best I ever had and pretty hot (I did ask for spicy version). The sauce was very tick and tasty. Did try a few Indian restaurants during my Dubai visits and do find this place one of the best from price quality perspective. I will return to Mahec!

Mahec is a good Indian dining experience, without incurring an over the top bill. The decor is elegant and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The menu is not too elaborate and that's what I like about Mahec - concentrate on...
