it was our second visit to the place, and this time there were more people than the first time. owing to that we could eat more varieties of dishes and i must say all of us liked the food. the herb flavoured chicken kebabs were really good and so was the veggie starter. all dishes in the main course were yummy except the madras style chicken curry which was a little too sweet for comfort. dessert was in the form of gulab jamuns and pista kulfi, both of which were nice. good place to have some nice wine as well. will surely head here when winter is around again in dubai.Reply

it was the last few days of pleasant weather in dubai and we thought we should definitely be some place outdoor for dinner. Mahec ( i donno why its spelt that way) seemed a decent place. the outdoor seating area is not very big though and we were seated at a place that was just beside the walkway, but that was not too bothersome. the staff is cordial and quite helpful. the bottle of wine we had was really good. we had mustard chicken for starters. its very different from your regular starter kinds, the best part of the dish was the cherry tomato chutney that went along superbly with the chicken. since we were not too hungry we just decided to order another starter and finish it at that. the grilled broccoli and chilly cauliflower with dahi wada was not bad, wasnt anything extraordinary though. the menu at this place is a limited one, you dont really have many choices but the main course dishes sounded ok. overall, not bad really! The staffs are very friendly and attentiveness, food was really delicious, specially ginger lamb chops and malwani tiger prawns. Thanks for Mahec team and definitely will come back soon. Reply
