  • ""One of a kind birthday breakfast""

Highly recommended. Deeply touched of the Al Burj birthday cake and flower courtesy of Junsui. We have had enjoyed the sumptuous cuisine. Surely, will come to visit again!

We booked to visit the Burj Al Arab and for our sons 16th and were recommended this Asian restaurant by the concierge at our Hotel. On entering the Hotel Dubai's iconic symbol certainly didn't disappoint. An outstanding lobby with escalators flanked by fish teeming aquariums an entrance that we hoped would be matched by the promise of East Asian cuisine. And it did. We were shown around each cooking station on arrival, Chinese, Thai and Korean and finally Japanese. After being shown to our table and ordering cocktails we leisurely surveyed the cooking stations again and were accompanied by one of the senior staff who helped us choose what ended up being a 5 course meal. We all had Sushi to start, followed by Chicken noodle soup, I then had freshly cooked Chicken satay whilst my wife and son had crispy duck pancakes. For our main we had a combination of Chinese and Thai and I especially recommend the Beef in Tomato Sauce, spicy, tender and delicious. Finally desert and a choice of probably over 30, I went for the crepes and ice cream!! To top it off they bought out a birthday cake for our son but we had to have it boxed as we were totally stuffed. All three of us rated this experience as an 'excellent' without hesitation. The bill at the end was.....well who cares it was worth it every penny.

Its a charming place where you feel the great taste of Asia while sitting surrounded with crystals. Amazing food. Wonderful variety of Asian specialties offered. The food was exceptional and the teas were incredible. Extremely expensive but memorable experience

  • "Absolutele must-do in Dubai!"

This is a magnificent way to get inside the famous Burj Al Arab: a 7 course high tea at Junsui inside the hotel. And what a fabulously tasteful affair the high tea was. The ice teas Junsui serves is out of this world! I am still enjoying the memory :-)

  • "Excellent ..... except"

I reviewed Junsui over a year ago and it remains my favourite 'alternative' restaurant. For me it is excellent value for money - particularly given that it is based in the Burj al Arab (which in my view is the Best Hotel in the World) with all the wonderful experiences that provides. The reason Junsui is, to me, such good value is that you get such a wonderful large range of Asian cuisine and you can eat all you want. So I guess it is not for those with an anorexic or calorie bias. More for people who like excellent freshly cooked food in quantities that leave your stomach 'satisfied' Chief Chef Toto is a 'must'. Ask for him. His love of his job and the product he cooks/prepares will add to your experience. He has such wonderful and infectious pride in making you happy. If you like sushi you will be in heaven. If you like Asian food, you will still be there two hours later. And the pancakes for the finale with ice creams or lemon or maybe even some more healthy Asian alternatives, are ..... well heavenly If there is a criticism, and I know that it is difficult to get everything right in the restaurant business, it is the staccato, stiff and less that engaging quality of the floor staff. No real interest in the people at 'the tables'. Just there to be 'management' and 'senior servers' in a Burj al Arab restaurant. Needs changing as this is NOT the Jumeirhah culture or style. So although this is a highly, and justifiably, popular restaurant it would be nice for management of the restaurant to have a greater presence and interest in how their customers are feeling about the visit.
