"Wan"Reviewed 2013-10-31 01:23:55 By Wan V
Good foods as always, I loved to come here to hang out with my friends.. Service is getting better than before..
"disappointing"Reviewed 2013-09-28 05:09:43 By Daniela H
unfortunately, the beef (beef with lemongrass) was still raw when served and the other dish which was served (chili beef) was very dry and tasted like popcorn. the service was good an fast but it didn't make up for the food. also, the plates which had already been on the table must have been sitting there a while already as they were quite dusty. however, the atmosphere is good and it might be that the other dishes are better.
"Best Dim Sum in Dubai"Reviewed 2013-08-19 15:34:20 By ianthy
We booked at table at Da Shi Dai restaurant to enjoy dim sum and traditional Chinese cooking. On Mondays and Tuesday the restaurant operate a eat as much as you like menu for 99 Aed per person. We arrived to find the a lovely contemporary Zen like interior – really relaxing and spacious. We were greeted by a couple of smiling waitresses and offered the ala carte menu or the eat as much as you like menu. We opted for the later. The menu comprised of 5 courses – soups, steamed, fried and meat and vegetables then desert. We decided not to have the soups as this might leave very little room for the other courses. We started with the 6 dim sum options – which arrived steaming hot. Then the fried options arrived – spring rolls, prawn and garlic shells, turnip pie and spring green pancake. Main course we opted for beef with chilli, lemon chicken, char grilled vegetables with fragrant rice and special fried rice. For desert – mango soup and also vanilla ice cream. Accompanied with 2 strawberry and coconut milk shakes and a large bottle of water the bill came to 254 aed (£45.00 UK sterling). A note about the service – which was prompt, courteous and efficient. Empty dishes cleared on time and regular offers from the staff to check if we wanted more of the same dishes again. The food was beautifully served – hot, freshly cooked and nicely presented on the plate too. Dishes that were fried were not greasy – in fact the lemon chicken was very light despite being fried. We are big fans of Dim Sum and have eaten the best in Hong Kong, Hakkasan in London, Hukama in Dubai and many cities across China too. In Dubai, we tended to favour Ping Pong for quality and price but now we feel we have found the best in Da Shi Dai. We will definitely be returning again and again to this restaurant - thank you for a lovely evening!

Soups : offer of two types Dumplings : 6 types Fried : spring roles with chicken, Prawn in pastry, Turnip cake, spring greens in pastry Main : Lemon chicken, Crispy Shredded Beef, Stir Fried Vegetables Rice and Noodles Dessert : Ice Cream and Mango 'soup' ( a nice dessert ) All dishes could be reordered, as required.

Re: Cheryle TreanorOct 14, 2013Hi There, many thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding your visit to Da Shi Dai and it's good to hear you enjoyed your time there. The restaurant concept is based on groups of people sharing lots of plates, therefore this is why the food just keeps on coming! Feel free to just let the servers know how and when you want the food delivered to your table and the chefs will be more than happy to oblige. See you next time! Delicious! The sauce were a bit heavy on the sweet side. As with tapas, dim sum can add up so watch out when ordering!
