"Great Indian cuisine"Reviewed 2014-08-11 03:42:27 By Sanjaykanika
The Zafran restaurant in the Marina mall is beautifully located on the water front at Dubai Marina. We had a hearty Indian meal , the Mango lassi was superb and the tandoori Kebab platter is a must. Good ambience and great place for an outing with family and friends.
"Iftar and dinner"Reviewed 2014-07-20 08:33:38 By Esjay J
Zafran is surely underrated but a value for money and great taste especially you must try the rampuri kebabs and flavorful biryani and the staff were attentive to keep the buffet area clean constantly the allo gobi and dal makhani are great but the butter chicken was a bit sweet overall you get your worth for the money spent.
"Delicious Food"Reviewed 2014-07-19 20:35:17 By sabanis
We had an Iftar in Zafran Marina Mall, the food was very good especially the chicken, the setup for Ramadan Iftar was not adequate..but the person in charge was very pleasant and offered us few more varities and dishes to satisfy our demand, and he kept an eye on our table for anything we may ask for...thumb up...Food and Customers Service.
"Disappointed..."Reviewed 2014-07-12 13:17:59 By Jazznmes
Lovely venue overlooking the marina with plenty of outdoor seating. Strawberry cocktails were deliciously refreshing. Prawn Mahkni hotter than here in the UK but very moreish. Lamb Vindaloo was just not hot enough - I can't understand why! Also this dish arrived 30 minutes after everything else which spoilt the meal. Bombay potatoes were undercooked.
"Another Decent Indian Restaurant that will earn your loyalty....Certainly under-rated......!!"Reviewed 2014-07-06 21:10:07 By syed h
This restaurant is very conveniently located in the posh Dubai Marina Mall tucked away in a corner of the GF, but once you get in you will immediately feel you have come to the right place to have a decent meal with Indian Flavours. Yes, everything about the place is just right - the staff, the ambience, the multi nationality crowd/customers filling the seats, the view from the seats at the far end, the seating arrangements and what's available on the menu as well. Nothing here will disappoint you and for this reason, I would say t his restaurant is certainly underrated and deserves a far better rating. We had Double Mushroom fry and Chicken Lollypop Pakora for starters which came out very well. Then tandoori chicken, Chicken Saag and Prawn Coconut Curry along with Paratha, Tandoori Roti, Garlinc Naan and Butter Naan. Now the though all the dishes were really good, the star amongst them was the Tandoori Chicken (Medium Sized boneless Cubes of Chicken leg & thigh part). Now this dish has made me sing the new tamil song which goes like 'What a Karuvad, What a Karuvad...." from a new movie of Tamil Movie star Dhanush (of "Why this Kolaveri di" Song fame......) as "What a Tandoor, What a Tandoor...." - Because their tandoor has been one of the best tandoor I have tasted in the UAE! For dessert we had their Walnut Brownie.... and their brownie was not good at all. It in fact taste slightly bitter, was not moist and we didn't like it much. Now hey...brownie is not an Indian speciallity is it! This didn't matter really as the tasty affair we had with the other dishes more than made up for the disappointment with the dessert. Their Masala Chai was good as well. Once again, the view of the marina from this restaurant is nice and this makes for a pleasant dining experience as well. They had outdoor dining with this view, but this was not open for customers yesterday (06-07-14) as the weather was unsuitable! We agree. With 4 persons dining yesterday and the bill at Dhs 447/-, I would say the value for money is there as well. A special mention to the good serice from staffs Azeem Khan, karan and Vishal (I hope I got he name right for the Srilankan staff). I recommend you visit this restaurant. Cheers, Syed M. H

Do have the Kashmir's Dew as a mocktail. Dahi ke kabab as starters and mutton masala for main course. Get yourself a table outside and enjoy the meal. Nice one!
